Superb location
Hillerød Camping is within walking distance to all the city’s popular attractions, cafes, pedestrian streets with shopping centers etc. and if you want to explore nature, there is also a perfect opportunity to do so. Great opportunities for cycling in the nearby forests or head north to the lovely beaches of North Zealand.
The campsite is 10 minutes from the center within walking distance. So leave the car behind and discover Hillerød at your own pace. Or take the S-train directly from Hillerød to Copenhagen or Helsingør within 30 minutes.
Many people who visit Hillerød Camping like to stay for several days at a time and come back year after year. This is according to camp manager Annette Quist, who knows from experience that visitors like to stay at the campsite, among other things because of the location and the cozy atmosphere at the campsite.
Service for motorhomes
There are only a few spring / summer seasonal pitches at Hillerød Camping, as there must be ample opportunity to find space for all day / holiday campers who increasingly visit the site, both from home and abroad.
Hillerød Camping has a new service building and is extremely camper-friendly. For example, it is easier for the wagons to maneuver and there is plenty of space. The site also has lovely cabins with shower and toilet facilities.
Superb common area
The facilities at this campsite are top notch and cleaner than most people’s homes. The communal kitchen is so cozy that many people stay for a long time and eat with each other. The conversation goes well while cooking and there is an incredibly cozy atmosphere. The palm trees, the many flower pots, candles and lanterns all contribute to the cozy atmosphere.
Danish Campsite of the Year 2019
At the Danish Camping Award, Hillerød Camping was named 2019 Camping of the Year for being the campsite in Denmark where you get the best service for the price. It is undoubtedly the camp manager Anette Quist’s great effort in pampering the guests that has brought the prestigious award to Hillerød. In other words, it has to be experienced.
In the summer of 2018 Anne Vibeke traveled to North Zealand and our little place. This has resulted in a fine travel program from Kongernes Nordsjælland, where castles, monasteries, gastronomy and coziness are on the program. The program was shown on DK4 in February 2019 and you can read more about Anne Vibeke’s experiences in Kongernes Nordsjælland and find inspiration for your next trip here >> >>.
